Saracens - Congratulations to John Trigg!

Congratulations to John Trigg!

The Premiership Rugby Parliamentary Community Awards took place on Tuesday 4th July 2017 at the House of Commons and we were extremely proud of one of our volunteers, John Trigg, who was one of three volunteers shortlisted for the Community Volunteer of the Year Award.

The Community Volunteer of the Year Award recognises those who have given the most back to their communities. John, who is the Foundation's resident photographer, volunteers so much of his time not just to projects within Allianz Park but he also travels to photograph projects outside the area such as Sarrie’s Track Club Harrow, on fundraising events such as Walk to Wembley, the Love to Dance Christmas Party and many more.

Speaking about the Awards evening, John said “Quite honestly, it’s been a totally humbling experience.  Just being present at the Awards Ceremony today, and to hear such remarkable stories about the power of rugby and the passionate contribution of volunteers to influence and change lives leaves me awestruck. To think that I was in the frame for an award is totally humbling.”

We, at the Saracens Sport Foundation and Saracens, would just like to say THANK YOU for all that you do for us. We are extremely glad that you have been recognised for all your great work and you are our Volunteer of the Year!
