ABOUT JODIE

A 2018 Commonwealth Games Gold Medallist, Jodie joined Mavericks in 2021 and has been a crucial part of the squad ever since, being named vice-captain for the 2023 season.

Gibson joined from Severn Stars, having also played for Manchester Thunder and Loughborough Lightning. She won a Superleague title with the Thunder and offers a wealth of experience to her fellow players and for her role coaching within the Saracens Mavericks pathway.

Jodie exudes professionalism, charisma and charm, with her dominance on court dictating opponents and taking them out of the game. Jodie’s power is clear for all to see and her leadership and communication on court is a real strength to make her one of the starting players for Saracens Mavericks.

Working as a full time teacher at Mill Hill School, Jodie received joint Players Player of 2021.
