Here's a look at some of the key numbers ahead of Sunday's trip to Mattioli Woods Welford Road.

Leicester Tigers

  • Relentless with his leg drive, Jasper Wiese made more metres in contact than any other player in Round 16 (32). He was just seven metres short of his personal record of 39 contact metres (Round 12), which is the most in a single match by a No 8 this season.
  • Charlie Atkinson and Handre Pollard have kicked 20 restarts in total, six of which have been retained. Their individual restart retention rates of 33% and 27% are the highest of any players who have taken more than three restarts.
  • Leicester Tigers have scored tries from 27% of their visits to the 22, making them the least efficient team in the Premiership in terms of try scoring. However, they have the highest rate of ball retention at the ruck in the league (97%).
  • The Tigers have had more reset scrums than any other team (14). Their scrum success rate has been 92% so far this season. Their lineout has been their more secure set-piece though: they have maintained a league-high 91% success rate.

Saracens

  • Alex Goode made the most try assists in Round 16 (two). Both of these came after the 75th minute, whilst Saracens were mounting their final - and ultimately victorious - siege on the Bristol Bears.
  • Billy Vunipola has made more offloads than any other player (27). A key link player for Saracens, he has also made more passes than any other forward (98).
  • Theo Dan has made more contact metres from pick-and-gos than any other player (32).
  • A league-high 12 of Saracens’ 49 tries have come from kick return.

Historical

  • The Tigers have won two of their last eight matches against Saracens, including the Premiership final last season. They have beaten them twice on the trot at Mattioli Woods Welford Road.
  • Saracens have lost only one of their 13 Premiership matches this season. Since their loss to London Irish in December, they have won three consecutive fixtures – the last two by three points or less.
