ABOUT JODIE

Jodie Rettie was something of a latecomer to rugby, having only started playing whilst at college.

She was part of the winning English National Schools 7s squad in 2008, represented England Colleges in 2008/09 and played for the British Colleges East in the 2007/08 and 2008/09 seasons.

The hooker graduated with a BSc in Sports Therapy from the University of Bedfordshire in 2013, and in 2018 she won her first cap for Scotland – thanks to having a Scottish father – coming off the bench in the team’s Six Nations opener against Wales.

The Scotland international joined Saracens at the start of the 2018/19 season and represented her country at the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.

She showed her versatility during the season starting at hooker and in the backrow. Rettie started in the back row for Sarries in the Premier 15s final against Harlequins.
