Saracens is pleased to confirm that Alec Clarey has signed a new deal to remain at StoneX Stadium.

The tighthead prop has been a huge success story since arriving from Jersey in the summer of 2020, and he went on to play a crucial role in the promotion from the Championship earlier this year.

The 27-year-old has made 27 appearances for Sarries in the front-row, learning from the likes of Vincent Koch and Marco Riccioni in his position.

His scrummaging quality was showing instantly upon arrival, as he went straight in for his new club to feature in the famous Champions Cup Quarter Final victory over Leinster in Dublin.

Clarey is pleased to be staying in North London after putting pen to paper.

“I’ve really enjoyed my time at Saracens so far. Learning from all of the coaches and players has helped me develop massively as a player and I’m looking forward to putting that in to action out on the pitch.”

Director of Rugby Mark McCall says Clarey is another fantastic re-signing for his side.

“Alec is a very popular member of our group and we are very pleased that he will be staying with us.

He works very hard at his game and has made great progress since he arrived at the club. We are confident that his best days lie ahead.”
