Ethan Lewis says he is enormously privileged to be captaining the club on Saturday as they look to round off their Premiership Rugby Cup campaign in style.

The Welshman will lead out the Men in Black for the first time when they welcome Leicester Tigers to StoneX Stadium, with a youthful side in line to gain some valuable experience in front of their home supporters.

The coaching team will be eagerly anticipating Saturday’s early kick-off with opportunities for a number of young players who will be looking to impress in the final Premiership Cup match of the group stages.

Jevaughn Warren, captain Lewis and Christian Judge start in the front-row, with Andrew Kitchener next to Cameron Boon who makes his first appearance of the season in the second-row.

Samson Adejimi starts at blindside and will be looking to continue his excellent form in the tournament, with Toby Knight and Ollie Stonham completing the back-row after getting a taste of Premiership action in recent weeks.

Sam Bryan and Tobias Elliott make up the half-back pairing, and there is a debut for Olly Hartley at 12 who has just arrived from Wasps on an academy contract. Brandon Jackson will line up next to him in the midfield.

Tom Howe and Francis Moore will be looking for any try-scoring opportunities on the wings, with Jenson McInulty given the chance at full-back.

On the bench Harvey Beaton returns from Cornish Pirates and will be eyeing up a first appearance of the season for Sarries, whilst speedster Charlie Reynolds-West will want to show his pace again after a try-scoring cameo against London Irish in the last round.

Lewis is excited to be skippering the side to take on the Tigers.

“It’s a privilege to have been asked to Captain the side on Saturday. I’m immensely proud to be leading the team out and I’ll be doing everything I can to lead by example from start to finish.”
