England V Scotland Guinness Six Nations

Incoming Saracens duo Elliot Daly and Jack Singleton have been named in a squad of 29 players to attend an England training camp at Pennyhill Park.

The pair will head to the Surrey base on 23rd June until 27th. The week is the first of two camps, held at Pennyhill Park and the Lensbury (30th June-4th July), before the first official Rugby World Cup training camp begins on 7th July at the Lensbury.

Daly joins the club from Wasps while Singleton returns to Allianz Park having come through the club’s Academy system before five years at Worcester Warriors.

George Kruis and Mako Vunipola will be in camp for treatment.

Players attending the camp at Pennyhill Park will not have featured in the Gallagher Premiership semi-finals or final, outside of Lewis Ludlam (Northampton Saints) and Val Rapava Ruskin (Gloucester).

Head coach Eddie Jones said: “The first two England training camps are designed to improve individual players’ fundamentals to allow them to compete for a place in the Rugby World Cup squad.”

England’s official Rugby World Cup training squad will be announced by Jones at Japan House on Thursday 4th July.

England will play Wales (11th August) and Ireland (24h August) at Twickenham Stadium and Italy (6th September) in Newcastle as part of the Quilter Internationals as well as an away fixture against Wales (17th August) in Cardiff.

England will travel to Treviso, Italy for a heat camp from 22nd July until 2nd August before returning to Italy on 28th August until 5th September.

The squad will also be based in Bristol for a week in July (14th-18th) and in August (12th-16th) ahead of England’s away match against Wales. For the two matches against Wales and Ireland at Twickenham Stadium, the squad will train at Pennyhill Park.
