Sarries 3

It did not take long for Zoe Harrison to settle back into life in the Tyrrells Premier 15s on Saturday.

The fly-half had not played this season after injuring her thigh over the summer, but started against Bristol Bears Women and took just 21 to get on the scoresheet, bursting through from eight metres after tricking the defence with a clever dummy.

It was Saracens’ second try of the game and helped send the team on their way to an 32-15 victory.

“It was great to get back in the team after being injured,” said the England international. “We played well as a team. The wind was a bit of a struggle in the first half, but we brought good energy to overcome it.

“I’m really pleased to get my first 40 minutes of the season under my belt. I’m looking forward to playing more with the girls and I’m excited for what’s to come.”

Saracens Women now have three weeks off while the Quilter Internationals take place, and their next Premier 15s fixture is on Saturday 24th November, against top-of-the-table Loughborough Lightning.

The first of England Women's three autumn international matches takes place at Allianz Park on Friday evening against the USA. Click here for ticket information.
