Below is a summary of recent improvements we have made to the matchday experience as a result of feedback from fans.

Fans can share their feedback with the Club via post-match surveys, the contact form here, via supporterservices@saracens.net or by liaising with Supporters’ Forum Representatives.

FOOD & DRINK

HOW MANY WARM COVERED SPACES ARE THEIR FOR FANS AT STONEX STADIUM?

We are aware that outside of the Olympic Bar on the ground floor of the East Stand, warm covered spaces across the stadium are limited. We are currently planning some exciting infrastructure developments at StoneX Stadium which will address this issue and further enhance the match day experience for supporters. We will provide updates on these plans as soon as we have them.

WHERE SHOULD WE GO FOR FOOD AND DRINK?

We are aware that queues can be an issue on match day, especially at peak times (i.e. 15 minutes before KO and at half-time), and we monitor this closely. We are planning new food and drink infrastructure to create additional capacity and variety around the stadium which will reduce but not eradicate queues.

HAVE ANY EXTRA FOOD AND DRINK OFFERINGS BEEN INCLUDED AT STONEX STADIUM?

We have increased food and drink offerings around StoneX Stadium. Increased variety of food offerings now available

StoneX Stadium has a wide range of food and beverage outlets around the ground and fans can enjoy London’s best street food, craft beer, cocktails as well as non-alcoholic beverages. Our food concessions for this season include Bish Bash Bangers, Sour Dough Pizza, Zero Sushi, Bring ‘n’ Braai, Brick Lane Bagels, Pulled Meats, Baxter’s Fish and Chips, Mr Whippy and Pick ‘n’ Mix. For drinks, Wolfpack are back serving their ale and lager, as well as bars around the ground, and Tiki Tonga and Coffee Bay. There are two new bars in the Oasis Fan Zone including a new Cask Ale Bar.

Next to the Playground in the Piazza there is a new coffee bar serving speciality coffee and snacks. For fans attending with family, there are kids portions available from the Olympic Bar as well as small fruit shoot drinks available from all units around the stadium. Also new for the 23/24 season, the Olympic Bar is serving two loaded fries dishes with an additional special of the day on every matchday.

A popular offering last season, the ‘Pie and Pint’ will be available in the Olympic Bar and Level Kiosk. New for the 23/24 season, there is a new vegan sausage roll, vegan chicken sub as well as a butternut squash pie and cheese pasty. For fans sat in the 1876 Stand, there are two new kiosks accessible from the bowl on Level Two serving drinks and confectionary. A new two-pint cup is now available at all matchdays, as well as a four-pint bag of cask ale. Becks Blue and Guinness 00 is available as non-alcoholic beer options, and gluten-free IPA available at all outlets.

HOW MANY SEATS AND POSEUR TABLES ARE THERE AROUND THE STADIUM?

The number of seats and poseUr tables has been increased around the stadium. This has been increased in the Piazza, Olympic Bar and The Oasis as well as an increase in poser tables in the Olympic Bar

DO YOU PROVIDE MORE HOT DRINKS CONCESSIONS ON THE WINTERY DAYS?

Our official coffee supplier is Tiki Tonga and they have recently increased the number of Tiki Tonga coffee units across the stadium to four.

Coffee, tea and hot chocolate are also available to purchase at the main Olympic Bar on the ground floor of the East Stand.

SOUND & VISIBILITY

IS THERE A TV IN THE BAR AREA TO THE GAME WHILST QUEUEING FOR FOOD & DRINK?

We have recently upgraded our TVs and digital signage throughout the stadium so that screens are in use within the Olympic Bar area and hospitality areas pre, during and post match. As part of our plans to further enhance the match day experience ahead of the 2022-23 season, we will be installing bigger screens into the Olympic Bar.

HOW DO YOU ADJUST THE VOLUME OF PA ANNOUNCEMENTS ON A MATCHDAY?

The PA system has been adjusted around the Stadium to improve audio quality and music noise levels.

Volume levels and PA settings are constantly being tweaked on a matchday, in real-time, to ensure that they are at optimum levels for fans too.

ARE REF LINKS AVAILABLE FOR EVERY MATCH?

Ref Link is available at every Gallagher Premiership matchday at StoneX Stadium. Unfortunately, due to the feeds provided on a matchday by the league and broadcasters, we cannot guarantee Ref Link for Premiership Cup or PWR fixtures.

Ref Links are available to purchase from the Saracens Club Shop underneath the East Stand by the Piazza.

WHERE ARE THE BIG SCREENS POSITIONED IN THE STADIUM?

We have endeavoured to setup the stadium for the 2021/22 season so that we can continue to provide the best possible experience for spectators whilst the new West Stand is being developed. We have elected to keep both screens on site and placed them in the optimal position to provide site lines for the benefit of as many fans as possible.

Now that we are using the seating in the new West Stand, we have been able to adjust the big screens and improve the sight lines for a larger proportion of our supporters.

TRAVEL

WHAT IS THE WAIT TIME FOR SHUTTLE BUSSES?

We have recently upgraded our TVs and digital signage throughout the stadium so that screens are in use within the Olympic Bar area and hospitality areas pre, during and post match. As part of our plans to further enhance the match day experience ahead of the 2022-23 season, we installed bigger screens into the Olympic Bar.

STADIUM OPERATIONS

ARE THERE HANDRAILS ON THE STAIRCASES AT THE STADIUM?

We have an excellent safety record here at StoneX Stadium with very few reported incidences. Handrails are in position on the steps of the East and West Stands, but we are also required to provide suitable movement around the stands for emergency procedures. For any supporters with mobility issues, please contact Supporter Services who will be able to assist you with any specific requests.

WILL MORE SIGNAGE BE INSTALLED AROUND THE STADIUM TO MAKE IT EASIER TO WAYFIND?

We agree that current way-finding signage around the stadium needs to be improved. In the meantime, if the signage is not supporting your movement around the stadium please speak to one of our wonderful Pioneers who will be able to help you.

IS THERE ANY WIFI AVAILABLE AT THE STADIUM?

Wi-Fi is available throughout the stadium and is free to use. In line with the West Stand fully opening, we will be providing upgraded Wi-Fi infrastructure and coverage which will support greater access to our website and App throughout the experience at StoneX Stadium.

ARE THERE ADDITIONAL WHEELCHAIR SPACES IN THE 1876 STAND?

There are currently three wheelchair seating areas within the stadium, providing a limited choice for our wheelchair users. We have addressed this in the design of the new West Stand which will provide additional facilities for supporters using wheelchairs and personal assistants across four new separate locations within the stand. Accessible by two separate lifts at either side of the stand, these new facilities have been available since the start of the 2022-23 season.

ENTERTAINMENT

HOW DO YOU DECIDE ON THE VOLUME OF THE SOUND SYSTEM?

We receive lots of feedback about PA volume and clarity. We monitor crowd attendance each week and work on volumes accordingly, testing different configurations in order to optimise the system. We will continue to review feedback from supporters and seek to provide the best possible experience. However, please understand that volume is subjective, and although we monitor and adjust accordingly, it may not suit everyone at every game.

HOW DO YOU DECIDE THE MUSIC THAT IS PLAYED ON A MATCHDAY?

As we hope you will appreciate, music is a subjective topic! We will continue to work with the Saracens Fans Forum, in addition to match day surveying, to ensure the playlist is as balanced as possible.

ARE THERE OPPORTUNITIES TO MEET THE SARACENS PLAYERS?

Saracens players enjoy meeting with fans at every matchday, and complete a lap of the ground at the final whistle – when not receiving treatment or required for compulsory media duties – to meet fans pitchside.

Players also each distribute a signed mini-ball to a lucky fan at the end of the match. Two players visit the Club Shop in the build-up to each game ready to meet fans and sign autographs. Pre and post match, a player is present in The Oasis for an interview and Q&A with fans.

pre-match communication

WHEN IS INFORMATION ABOUT THE MATCHDAY SHARED WITH FANS?

A schedule of matchday activity shared with all fans.

Prior to each matchday, a comprehensive matchday schedule of all activity taking place at StoneX Stadium is shared across the Club’s social media channels and in the pre-match email sent to all Seasonal Members and ticket purchasers.

WHAT INFORMATION IS SHARED WITH FANS AHEAD OF A MATCH AT STONEX STADIUM?

The pre-match email sent ahead of matchday containing all of the key information fans need to enjoy their experience at StoneX Stadium has been updated for this season. Covering all information as to how to get to the ground, what to bring to the ground, key timings, food and drink and ticketing, the pre-match email also includes a matchday guide that can be downloaded ahead of matchday.

FAN BEHAVIOUR

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO GO FOR FOOD AND DRINK ON A MATCHDAY?

We understand how movement amongst the crowd can have a negative impact on the experience of others. We currently use our big screens and programme messaging to encourage fans to remain seated until breaks in play and will continue to do so. We also brief our Pioneers to look out for this behaviour and intervene if necessary and we will continue to stress this in future briefings.
