THERE ARE THREE GAMES LEFT TO PLAY IN THE REGULAR GALLAGHER PREMIERSHIP SEASON BEFORE SARACENS HOST ONE OF THE TWO SEMI-FINAL PLAY-OFF MATCHES.

Even though the ‘Men in Black’ are safely through to the last four, their next two league games could determine which team they host as they attempt to return to Twickenham for the Premiership Final.

After the European adventure next stop with be Franklin’s Gardens to face a Northampton Saints side currently lying in fifth place in the table. They are a mighty force at home and have lost only once in 11 games this season in both the Premiership and Premiership Cup.

When we played them at home on 13 November it was a bit of an epic, finally ending 45-39. Saints led 27-17 at the break and looked set for victory until 28 unanswered second half points hauled Sarries through to an amazing victory.

If Saints are to stand any chance of closing the three-point gap on London Irish in fourth place, they need to use home advantage to pick up as many points as they can muster. It promises to be a rip-roaring contest.

If it is not Saints who march into the play-offs, then it could well be London Irish. Declan Kidney’s men are currently in fourth and will come to the StoneX Stadium on Sunday, 23 April looking to clinch their ticket into the semi-finals.

They won handsomely at the StoneX Stadium in the Premiership Cup in October, 43-26, and followed that up with a 29-20 league win at their new home in Brentford on 23 December. Time for revenge!
