Coach Kevin Sorrell says Saracens Men are heading to Kingsholm looking to build some crucial momentum before the home semi-final a week on Saturday.

The Men in Black end the regular season against Gloucester safe in the knowledge that they will host a last-four clash at StoneX Stadium the following week, and all permutations will be settled with all six Gallagher Premiership matches kicking off at the same time.

Eroni Mawi, Kapeli Pifeleti and Alec Clarey start in the front-row, with Callum Hunter-Hill and Tim Swinson behind in the second-row.

Jackson Wray will captain the side from blindside flanker, and he is joined by Toby Knight, who skipper the England Under 20’s during the Six Nations, as well as Janco Venter who starts at number eight.

Ivan van Zyl and Manu Vunipola will be looking to manage the game as half-backs, with the experienced midfield duo of Duncan Taylor and Alex Lozowski outside them.

Ben Harris will be on the left wing, with Max Malins back from a hamstring injury on the right and Elliott Obatoyinbo at full-back.

On the bench there are opportunities for some academy players, with the likes of Theo Dan, Cameron Boon and Josh Hallett all looking to make their mark in the West Country.

Sorrell, who made over 300 appearances for the club as a player is excited by the prospect of this group bringing the curtain down on the regular season.

“We want to go down to Gloucester and put in a good performance to help us build in to the semi final.

There’s a lot of excitement around the group and we want to keep that momentum going this weekend at Kingsholm.”
