Saracens can confirm that Mackenzie Carson has left the club, following the conclusion of the 2022/23 season.

The prop joined the club in 2019 and has gone on to make 37 appearances for Alex Austerberry's side.

Carson started in the 2021/22 final at Sixways, scoring as Saracens secured a third Premier15s title and has since gone on to make her England debut, having switched nationality from her native Canada.

Commenting on her time at Saracens, Carson explained that she had made some lifelong memories during her time in North London.

"I've had four incredible seasons at Saracens where I have made some lifelong friendships and memories that I will take with me into the next chapter of my career. I can't thank the players, staff, and fans enough for their support and passion throughout my time here."

Director of Rugby Alex Austerberry also took the time to explain the reasoning behind Carson’s departure.

"We would like to thank Mackenzie for her service. Mackenzie came to Saracens as a hooker who played in the back row and, with the support of the coaching team, she has developed into an international loosehead prop. Mackenzie expressed a desire to pursue other opportunities, and this is something that the club has agreed to support her with. We wish her well for the future."
