Len De Luca | RIP
Saracens is saddened to learn of the passing of former player Len de Luca.
Len (on the far right of the photo) made many first team appearances for Saracens during the early 1960s as a hooker.
Born in 1928, Leonard De Luca passed away peacefully on 3rd April 2022. Len was a successful hooker, having started his first class rugby career with Wasps before joining Blackheath in the early 1960s, eventually moving on to Saracens.
In the latter part of his rugby career he also enjoyed stints with Rome and Ealing. He won representative honours with Middlesex and Eastern Counties and played for both Blackheath and Saracens in the final of the Middlesex 7s at Twickenham Stadium.
He was a proud father to Marcus and Mitzi and proud grandfather to six grandchildren.
Our thoughts are with the family at this time.
