Saracens had success domestically and internationally at the weekend, with five players taking centre stage to bring home a Grand Slam for England.

Saracens Men:

The Men in Black gave themselves some much needed breathing space in the top two of the Gallagher Premiership after their impressive 38-16 win over Worcester Warriors at Sixways.

Max Malins scored an incredible four tries to move back to the top of the try-scoring charts, whilst Ben Earl and Rotimi Segun also crossed in the West Midlands.

The win means that Sarries are eight points clear of third placed Harlequins, and they’ll need one win from their final two league matches to confirm a home semi-final.

Attention now turns back to the European Rugby Challenge Cup, and Sarries travel to face Gloucester at Kingsholm on Friday night in the Quarter Final.

Saracens Women:

Alex Austerberry’s side finally return to action on Saturday as they travel to Sandy Park for the penultimate match of the regular Allianz Premier 15s campaign.

The Women in Black will face Exeter knowing that they already have a home semi final secured, but they will want to ensure they head in to the business end of the season in top form.

It was a sensational weekend on the international front once again, as England secured the Grand Slam with a 24-14 win over France on the final day of the TikTok Six Nations. Marlie Packer, Poppy Cleall, Zoe Harrison, Holly Aitchison and Hannah Botterman all played and got their hands on the trophy after a dominant victory.

Donna Rose started for Wales in their narrow loss to Italy, and Jodie Rettie was on the bench for Scotland’s one point defeat to Ireland.

Saracens Mavericks:

The Mavericks had two tough matches at the weekend and were unfortunately on the wrong side of the results despite two strong performances.

On Friday they took on Team Bath and were beaten by just a single point, but there were still plenty of positives as Britney Clarke was rewarded with the Player of the Match recognition.

On Monday they faced Loughborough and in a hardly fought game they were beaten 59-51, meaning they will want a big response when they take on Strathclyde Sirens in Glasgow this weekend.
