Saracens is pleased to confirm that Harvey Beaton has signed a new long-term deal with the club.

The prop, who has made five appearances for the club has come through the academy at StoneX Stadium and in an exciting move he will spend next season on loan at Cornish Pirates.

The 21-year-old, who scored a memorable try in the European Rugby Challenge Cup against Edinburgh will get regular game time in the Championship throughout the 2022/23 campaign with the Pirates who are well known for their strong set piece.

Already an England Under 20 international as well, Beaton is a highly exciting prospect for the future.

The tighthead is looking forward to his opportunity in Penzance.

“I’m really excited to join Pirates for the season. It’s a good club with a lot of history behind it. I’m looking forward to working with Alan Paver to really develop my set piece game and just get week in week out rugby to expand my knowledge as much as possible.”

Director of Rugby Mark McCall says this opportunity is great for both Saracens and the player.

“We’re thrilled that Harvey has committed to the club on a long term deal. He is a great character who has shown potential already and we believe there is plenty to come from him over the coming years.

I’m sure his season with Cornish Pirates will be invaluable in his development, they are a club that we have huge respect for and we are looking forward to seeing him grow as a player and a person.”
