Alev

Saracens Women are excited to announce the signing of Alev Kelter for the remainder of the 2021/22 season.

The USA international brings a huge amount of experience with her to StoneX Stadium and will provide another dimension to the back-line as the Women in Black go in pursuit of the Allianz Premier 15s title.

A seasoned leader, who represented her country at the 2017 World Cup, is a hugely talented athlete, having also played Sevens in both the 2016 and 2020 Olympic Games.

Her sporting abilities don’t end there though, she played for the USA Soccer Team at Under 20 Level, and also USA Hockey at Under 18s during the 2009 IIHF World Women’s Champion.

Kelter is looking forward to a new challenge in North London.

“After spending the last eight years focusing on 7s, I’m grateful for the opportunity to devote myself to 15s. The Saracens are such a talented and competitive team –  and I’m humbled to learn from the best in the world. It doesn’t get better than playing in the Premier League. See you in StoneX Stadium!”

Head Coach Alex Austerberry is thrilled to be welcoming Kelter to StoneX Stadium.

“Alev is an outstanding player who has both great physical attributes and skill. Hard working and very competitive, Alev has all the attributes which will add to and compliment our group.

We have long been admirers of her talent and her approach on the rugby field, and when the opportunity arose to bring Alev to the club it was something that excited everyone.

We are delighted to bring Alev to the club and what she will contribute on and off the field will be invaluable. Her manner, approach and mentality will certainly be a positive addition to our organisation and I very much look forward to working with her and seeing the impact she will have on the group.”
