May Resign

Saracens are delighted to confirm that May Campbell has committed her future to the club, having signed a contract extension.

The hooker has had yet another standout season, that she marked by making her 100th appearance for the club and making her England debut against Wales in the TikTok Six Nations.

A physical presence in both the tight and the loose, Campbell scored a remarkable 22 tries in all competitions this season and was a key figure for the side.

Director of Rugby Alex Austerberry was thrilled to retain the services of his most recent centurion.

"May has contributed significantly and consistently for a prolonged period and has been an integral part of the club’s success. Her work rate, industry, and ability to influence play in numerous ways, has seen her develop into a player who is continually pushing the boundaries of where her talent can go. May has established herself as one of the most consistent players in the league through the quality of performances and the volume of her involvements. Making her England debut and joining the ‘Hundred Club’ this last season not only illustrates what May has achieved but also where her game has the potential to go. I am delighted that May has committed her long-term future to the club as I truly believe the best is still to come."

Campbell too, is hugely excited to continue to develop and assert herself as one of the most destructive players in the league.

"I'm hugely excited to be staying at Sarries. This season has given me more drive to continue to develop my game. Having made my 100th appearance for the club has only made it an even more special place for me. The club is driving the women’s game forward and I’m excited to be a part of it."
