Team News: Saracens Women vs Gloucester-Hartpury Women
Zoe Harrison and Poppy Cleall will make their first appearance of the season after being named in the Saracens Women team to face Gloucester-Hartpury Women at Allianz Park on Saturday 26 October.
The England duo missed the opening five rounds of the Tyrrells Premier 15s after undergoing surgery in the summer. Both have followed their return to play plans to secure a place for this weekend’s match.
Harrison comes into the starting XV and will partner Hannah Casey at centre, while Lisa Martin retains her place at fly-half. Eloise Hayward comes back into the starting line-up at scrum-half with Jade Knight going onto the bench.
The back three of Sarah McKenna, Rachel Laqeretabua and Lotte Clapp start together for the fifth time this season.
In the front row, Canada international Alex Ellis makes her first start in Sarries colours and May Campbell comes in at hooker.
Mackenzie Carson moves from the front row to the backrow, joining Marlie Packer and Jodie Rettie in the loose forward trio.
Sonia Green and Molly Morrissey will have another opportunity to link-up at second row, having started together against Worcester Warriors Women and Firwood Waterloo Ladies.
Cleall will be looking to make an impact off the bench alongside Vicky Fleetwood, who returns to the match day squad, Jeani Layola and Rocky Clark.
Cara Wardle, who started at inside centre last week, takes her place among the replacements with Georgie Lingham and Knight.
