Hannah Botterman to depart Saracens
Saracens can today confirm that prop Hannah Botterman will be leaving the club, to join Bristol Bears ahead of the 2023/24 season.
The Red Roses prop made 66 appearances for the club, since making her debut in 2017 and scored the winning try in the 2017/18 final.
Botterman marked her final appearance for Saracens with a try on Sunday against Exeter.
During her time at StoneX Stadium, Botterman won three Premier15s titles and went on to make 35 appearances for her country.
Reflecting on her time at Saracens, Botterman admitted that she was leaving StoneX Stadium with fond memories.
"To the Sarries faithful, your support and love throughout the past five years has been second to none. This club, that I’ve supported since I was a little girl, has given me so many opportunities and so much support. I wouldn’t be where I am today without everyone. Thank you all, and I’m sure I’ll be seeing you at StoneX next season!"
Director of Rugby Alex Austerberry also paid tribute to the departing prop.
"Hannah has grown and developed into a superb rugby player during her time at her home club, Saracens. She has been part of some incredible achievements in a Saracens shirt and created some long lasting memories on and off the field for players, staff and fans alike. A bundle of power and energy, Hannah will be missed, but we fully understand her desire to gain new life experiences in another part of the country. We wish Hannah all the best with her future and thank her for everything she put into a Saracens shirt."
All at Saracens would like to wish Hannah the very best for the future.
