Saracens can today confirm that Robin Hislop will leave the club at the end of the season to join Edinburgh Rugby.

The prop, who joined on a short term deal back in October for his second spell at Sarries has made nine appearances for the Men in Black and has had a significant influence in the front-row.

Hislop, who has previously had a stint in Edinburgh will head back to his home country following the climax of the Gallagher Premiership season.

The Scot thanked everyone at StoneX Stadium and is eyeing up a successful end to the season.

“It was a really difficult decision for me. The club has been awesome at welcoming me back in and that is something I’m incredibly grateful for.

I’m thrilled to be here until the end of the season, so hopefully I can play a small part in achieving the success we want to get as a squad and create some more memories at this special club."

Director of Rugby Mark McCall had nothing but praise for Hislop as he prepares to return to the Scottish capital.

“Bomber is a brilliant player but also a brilliant person and we wish him and his family all the best with their move back to Edinburgh.

There is still plenty that he can achieve with us until the end of the season and we hope to give him the send off he deserves.”
