Sherree Valentine Daines' incredible painting added to The Priory Collection
Saracens is excited to reveal the latest addition to The Priory Collection at StoneX Stadium.
Sherree Valentine Daines, pictured alongside the most capped Saracen of all time Alex Goode (above), has completed an incredible painting of StoneX Stadium which can now be seen in the entrance to the newly opened 1876 Stand.
Daines, who is a contemporary British painter known for her impressionistic leisure scenes attended the Gallagher Premiership Semi Final against Northampton Saints when the painting got formally added to one of the best memorabilia collections in the world.
She spoke of her pride to have the painting recognised recently.
"I was delighted to be commissioned to paint the new StoneX Stadium for Saracens. It was a major work, oil on canvas, and I spent many months on this art work.
I am so pleased to be included in Nigel’s sporting memorabilia collection, he has several other of my rugby and cricket paintings as part of this collection. This latest painting was a major piece of work, and I am proud to see it hanging at the entrance of the beautiful new StoneX Stadium. It was been a huge pleasure to work with Nigel and Saracens!”
Nigel Wray is thrilled to add another painting to the collection.
“Sherree Valentine Daines’ recent claim to fame was that she of course painted the Queen. However, the Priory Collection has bought a number of her works over the years, two of which are in the Tulip Club, one of which is Jonny Wilkinson's drop goal and it was great to have her do the first ever painting of the new StoneX Stadium!”
