Donna Rose Re-signs with Saracens
Saracens Women are delighted to confirm that Donna Rose has extended her contract with the club.
The Welsh international prop has been a crucial member of the side and, having been out injured this season, she will no doubt be eager to hit the ground running next season.
Rose has made 33 appearances to date in black and red and came off the bench in last season's Premier15s final at Sixways, where Saracens regained their crown.
To date, Rose has won 15 caps for her country and was part of the World Cup squad that reached the quarter finals in New Zealand.
Speaking about the decision to extend her stay in North London, Rose admitted that she was thrilled by the prospect of being back out on the pitch.
"I'm buzzing to be staying at Saracens. The support I've received, especially this season with rehab has been incredible. Winning the premiership with this team last season was one of my best experiences in this shirt and I'm ready for more! I can't wait to be out on the field again and back in black!"
Director of Rugby Alex Austerberry was also delighted that Rose has committed her future to the club and is looking forward to seeing her bring her all-action style of play back to the field.
"To have Donna committing her future to Saracens is massive. She is a full-bloodied player, who wears her heart on her sleeve. She's committed, hardworking, and has a real thirst and desire to become the best she can possibly be. Donna is a great bundle of energy and is influential on the field and off it. Whilst at the club, Donna has changed position and established herself as an international prop with Wales. I am truly delighted that we will see Donna in a Saracens shirt for years to come and I have no doubt she will return from injury and put in the action-packed performances she had become renowned for."
