Tompkins announced as Saracens Wheelchair Rugby Club ambassador
The Club is delighted to announce that Saracens Men player Nick Tompkins will be an ambassador for Saracens Wheelchair Rugby Club – in Partnership with Allianz.
The centre, who has been at the club since 2008, said: “After recently experiencing a close mate having an accident playing rugby, I have seen first-hand the benefits that being involved in wheelchair rugby can have on people.
“I am keen to get stuck in and involved with the Saracens Wheelchair Rugby Club and do my part to give back to the Saracens Sport Foundation and support the amazing work they do on a daily basis.”
Saracens Wheelchair Rugby Club launched in September and provides competitive and recreational sports opportunities for both juniors (11+) and adults (16+) with a physical disability in wheelchair sport.
Supporting the junior training will be the Saracens Wheelchair Rugby Schools Programme. This programme will work with SEND Schools and organisations across Herts and the North London areas and will provide a pathway for participants to attend the junior sessions at SWRC.
